Room Types & Fees 

Study Rooms 

  • For one-on-one or small group study, tutoring, and collaboration. Not for solicitation of business or pursuit of commercial endeavors. 
  • Free of charge
  • Can be reserved for up to two hours per day. Extensions may be approved by staff if the room is not reserved for another patron.
  • Can be up to 7 days in advance
  • Automatically approved
  • Room may be released to other users if the group is more than 15 minutes late. 

Meeting Rooms 

  • Bookings are tentative until reviewed and approved by staff
  • Costs may be adjusted during the review process based on Manatee County 501c3 status or refreshments plans. Charges can be paid for at the time of the meeting by cash or check. Early payment will not be accepted. A Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor will need to handle the payment, so we recommend that calling first to ensure their availability.
  • Free for Manatee County 501c3 organizations, unless hosting a fundraising event. Discount will be applied after providing documentation of Manatee County 501c3 status. 
  • $25/hour for other groups
  • Additional $25 charge per rental if serving food and/or beverages (applies to both 501c3 and other groups) 
  • A $25 no-show fee will be assessed if a group is more than 30 minutes late, except in the case of prior arrangement. At this point the room may be made available to other users. If a group does not show up for their booking, they may be eligible for a refund of paid room fees, but will be responsible for the no-show fee. 
  • Can be reserved 48 hours to 45 days in advance 
  • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance in order to receive a refund. Must have payment receipt for refund. 
  • Cannot be used for personal social or private parties such as birthday parties, showers, or receptions, or sports/athletics practices 
  • Maximum of one booking per month 
  • Groups are expected to provide their own laptop if needed and set up the tables, chairs, and technology in the room themselves.

How to Reserve a Room 

1. Choose library location above. 

2. Go to a specific date using the "Go to Date" button, arrow buttons, or use the scroll bar beneath the table to scroll to the next available time slot. 

3. Find out more info about the rooms using the "Info" button beside each room listing.

4. Select the time you want your meeting to begin. 

5. Edit the ending time below the table. 

6. Click the "Submit Times" button, review and agree to the terms & conditions, and fill out the booking form that appears.
