Hike with a Librarian: Emerson Point Preserve

Loading...

Join us for a book discussion led by the Manatee Library, followed by a guided walk through Emerson Point Preserve with the Natural Resources Department!

Participants will meet at the pavilion next to the Welcome Center at Emerson Point Preserve: 5801 17th Street West, Palmetto, FL 34221.
The preserve is situated on the west end of Snead Island on the north shore of the Manatee River bordering Terra Ceia Bay. Throughout its hiking trails, you can experience a wide variety of Florida wildlife and natural habitats.

Book:

On Animals by Susan Orlean

We will meet in the pavilion right next to the Ranger Station/Welcome Center. Once you pass the main gates to the preserve at the first fork in the road you will see signs directing you to the Welcome Center and parking area.
