The History of Cattle Ranching in Manatee County
Travel back to the days of cowhunters and open prairies as we explore Florida's early ranching history! This event includes a local history talk by Kel Roth from the Manatee Agricultural Museum, followed by a book discussion led by librarian Kira Thoenes. We'll touch on the books A Land Remembered by Patrick D. Smith and Biscuits and 'Taters: A History of Cattle Ranching in Manatee County by Joe Warner.
This event takes place at the Manatee County Agricultural Museum and will include a guided tour.
