Book Circle: The New Civic Path

Book Circle: The New Civic Path

The Patterson Foundation (TPF) invites you to be part of a meaningful opportunity to strengthen our community’s connective tissue by engaging in conversations on issues with the mindset of what’s collectively possible.

In partnership with The Harwood Institute for Public Innovation, TPF has encouraged communities to turn outward, discover shared aspirations, and transform them into meaningful action. With the release of Rich Harwood’s new book, The New Civic Path: Restoring Our Belief in One Another and Our Nation, TPF is excited to host a series of book circles in Charlotte, DeSoto, Manatee, and Sarasota Counties.

These book circles create a space to explore how we can navigate today’s challenges with a greater sense of purpose, hope, and civic confidence. Book circles are three sessions lasting 75 minutes for each session. TPF will provide participants with a printed copy of The New Civic Path, a discussion guide, and a customized bookmark. Eligible book circle groups will receive a $300 Pay-it-Forward Award and collaborate on designating one award to a nonprofit with a Giving Partner profile
