Movie-lover's Book Club: Wild
Read the book, watch the movie, and let’s get to it! This month we will discuss the memoir Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail, by Cheryl Strayed, and the movie adaptation Wild (2014), starring Reese Witherspoon. Whether you loved it, hated it, or bailed halfway through, come join us for some honest insights, interesting chats, and maybe a few hot takes!
At twenty-two, Cheryl Strayed thought she had lost everything. With nothing left to lose, she set out to hike more than 1,000 miles alone — no experience, no training, just guts and a wild heart. How will her journey unfold, and what lessons will stick with her (and maybe with us)?
Copies of both are ready for you to snag through the Manatee Library – so grab yours today!
This month’s book and movie deal with grief, addiction, emotional hardship, and other adult themes, and is therefore limited to adults age 18 and up. Viewer discretion is advised.
Snacks and drinks will be provided.
