Creative Writing Workshop

Creative Writing Workshop

Attention new and experienced writers! Join us for a monthly workshop to celebrate our writing and improve our craft. The first half of the workshop will be an interactive lesson on one aspect of writing and will include prompts to help you tap into your creativity.

For the second half of the workshop, attendees will read excerpts of each other’s writing and give constructive, positive feedback. Writers who do not have a writing sample to share with the group can still attend the first half of the workshop. Please email up to five double-spaced pages of writing for feedback to stephaniekatz@live.com the night before each workshop.

Please note, this workshop is for writers of all experience levels, including aspiring writers who have not yet started a writing project. While this workshop is focused on prose writing (both fiction such as novels and nonfiction such as memoirs), poets can still attend. *Sponsored by the Friends of the Island Library*
