A Forgotten People, A Forgotten Place: The Story of Rye
This presentation will follow the history of Rye, a ghost town in East Manatee County, from its beginnings in the late 1800s through the present day. You will also learn about the key individuals from the settlement's story, the years following the end of the town, the physical reminders of the past, and about the area as it exists in the modern day.
